Join forces with your colleagues in an international society that addresses technical, policy, educational, and management issues with a coastal focus. The heart of the mission of The Coastal Society (TCS) is to provide professional education and development to members through communication and education.  To accomplish that mission, TCS offers you the following benefits of membership:

International Conference
Share your experience and research at the international biennial meetings of The Coastal Society. Participate in the development of better strategies for addressing your coastal concerns with experts and specialists from a wide variety of disciplines. The next conference, our 22nd, will be held in coastal North Carolina at the end of May or early June, 2010.   Take part in shaping the program for this conference and future conferences by joining the conference planning committee.  Save money with the member's discount on TCS conference registration fees.  The difference in price is enough to pay your dues for next year! Conference registration includes a Conference Proceedings, now on searchable CD-ROM.

Email List
Receive weekly notification of coastal management jobs, upcoming conferences and special educational and fun networking opportunities and news briefs on coastal issues through our members only e-mail listserv.

TCS Bulletin
Put to use the information found in the TCS Bulletin, disseminated electronically to members, that features coastal news, policy announcements, and research updates, plus regular articles on legal issues, legislative action, international events, and coastal management strategies.  Keep up with other members via the "Member News" section.

Journal
Keep abreast of research findings, analysis, tools and techniques as you set policy and manage our coastal resources -- and save money at the same time.  TCS regular Individual membership includes a subscription to Coastal Management, the international journal of marine environment, resources, law and society.

Free Publications
TCS members or their organizations may offer to make their publications available to the entire TCS membership.  Though we won't give out the TCS mailing list, we will work with you to help distribute your publication electronically or via mail.  Want to share your publication with other members? Just contact us.
